Gore Range
The Gore Range is a part of the Rocky Mountains of north central Colorado, located in the Eagle, Summit, Grand and Routt counties. It extends from the south of Steamboat Springs and Highway 40 in the north to the south of Vail Pass and Interstate Highway 70 in the south. Only the highest and most picturesque, 20 miles of southern part of Gore Range is covered here. The entire range is approximately 65 miles long and its highest point is Mount Powell, 13,566 feet.
